Pursuant to Article 36, para. 2 of the Measures Against Money Laundering Act, politically exposed persons are natural (physical) persons who perform or have been entrusted with the following prominent public functions: heads of state, heads of government, ministers and deputy ministers or assistant ministers; members of Parliaments or other legislative bodies; members of Constitutional Courts, Supreme Courts, or other high-level judicial bodies whose decisions (resolutions) are not subject to subsequent appeal except in extraordinary circumstances; members of audit chambers; members of governing bodies of Central Banks; Ambassadors and heads of Diplomatic Missions; senior officers of the armed forces; members of administrative, management, or supervisory bodies of state-owned enterprises and wholly state-owned commercial companies; mayors and deputy mayors of municipalities, mayors and deputy mayors of districts, and chairpersons of municipal councils; members of governing bodies of political parties; heads and deputy heads of international organizations, members of management or supervisory bodies in international organizations, or persons performing equivalent functions in such organizations or closely associated with them, namely:

• the spouses or persons who live together in a relationship equivalent to marriage;
• the direct descendants of the first degree and their spouses or persons the first-degree descendants live with in a relationship equivalent to marriage;
• the direct ascendants of the first degree and their spouses or persons the first-degree ascendants live with in a relationship equivalent to marriage;
• the second-degree collateral relatives and their spouses or persons the second-degree collateral relatives live with in a relationship equivalent to marriage;

a natural person known to be a joint beneficial owner with the above-mentioned person of a legal entity or another legal arrangement or in other close commercial, professional, or business relationships with the above-mentioned person; any natural person who is the sole beneficial owner or beneficial owner of a legal entity or another legal arrangement known to have been established for the benefit of the above-mentioned person.
